Domain Health Check
Domain Health Check in SMPhish is feature that runs in the background to check if there are any issues associated with a landing page domain when it’s selected, and warns you about any issues that could potentially stop end users from being able to see the page.
In SMPhish on the "Create simulation" page when you select a Landing Page Domain from the dropdown list, you will see a warning or error message depending on whether the domain is blocked by third parties or completely unavailable.
Why should I check domain status before launching a simulation?
Browsers' built-in anti-phishing detection sometimes picks up Phish domains, leading the browser to present a warning page to your users instead of the simulation landing page. While this is great for preventing actual phishing attacks, it can also mess with phishing simulations.
To ensure consistent results in your simulations, Domain Health Check lets you know which domains are working and not getting flagged up.
How to ensure your phishing simulations will be delivered
The most common cause for simulations not getting delivered is that Message Injection or allow-listing has not been configured in your email server or client.
Note: If you use Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, we recommend Message Injection as the preferred delivery method for simulated phishing emails, as it is the most reliable way to land emails in user mailboxes.
