Receive Breach Notifications

Learn how to ensure you are notified whenever any of your users' details are exposed on the breach databases.

SMBreach Pro allows you to be notified whenever a new breach involving your users has been discovered. This helps you take immediate action to reduce the chances of further infiltration using the breached information.

How to receive notifications of new user breaches

You can set up domain monitoring through the SMBreach page in your platform settings.

Add the email addresses you wish the summaries of new breaches to be sent to, click Add, and then Save your settings.

You can also choose to enable one or more of the optional settings.

  • Send an email to each user affected by a breach - when enabled, each user whose details have been compromised in a new breach will receive an email into the affected email account.
  • Send new users an alert notification if breaches are detected for their email address - when enabled, this option will ensure that all new users uploaded to the platform will receive an email containing all of the known breaches associated with their email address.
  • Include a list of affected users in breach alert summary email - when enabled, this will add a complete list of affected users in the breach alert summary email for the email addresses that you can add underneath.
  • Include a list of affected non-system users in breach alert summary email - this setting is the same as the one above, except for non-system users (users who have an email address under a monitored domain, but who have not been added as users to the SiberMate platform)

What information user breach notifications include

User breach notifications are sent out by email, and include the name of the breached service, which users were affected, and what information was exposed.
